HYLAS 63 BENE VIVERE  |

2014 HYLAS 63 FOR SALE – BENE VIVERE

German Frers drew the Hylas 63 to be a competent world cruising yacht. The boats needed to have the strength Hylas owners have come to appreciate and perform to a high standard at all points of sail. However the challenge in creating a great boat is making her versatile without sacrificing her strongest attributes. The Hylas 63 is the perfect yacht which will cross-oceans with ease but be enjoyed for shorter family excursions as well.

The Frers design coupled with a builder willing to create yachts to an owners’ specifications leaves each Hylas with her own personal look and layout. The owners of Bene Vivere created a yacht that is elegant and well appointed for two couples to sail with equal comfort or for a family to enjoy. Two of her four cabins would be considered master cabins while the third and fourth cabin are ideal for guests, younger sailors or crew. Her spacious salon is bright, comfortable and certainly one of the highlights of Bene Vivere.

This Hylas 63 can be compared to other vessels but after experiencing her living spaces and her ability with speed and comfort, the choice for discerning buyers will be totally clear. Her next owners will enjoy Bene Vivere, whatever journey they decide to embark upon.

EXTERIOR SPACES

Hylas yachts provide some of the best outside living spaces available for any cruising yacht. The twin helm Hylas 63 takes this trait to the next level. Those familiar with Hylas yachts will recognize Bene Vivere’s aft deck and the accessible wide swim steps. With the Hylas 63, the swim steps are even more expansive than those on her little sisters and the center cockpit is much larger with panoramic visibility.  Clear views of your sails while reaching to a distant island or being able to spot the best place to drop the hook in a crowded anchorage, are traits of the Hylas 63 that will be appreciated by generations of skippers.

Bene Vivere is equipped to be short handed. Her stowaway mast and well placed winches allow a couple to enjoy sailing her. A number of the designs in Bene Vivere’s class share this trait, however, few are as easy to handle while docking. She has both a bow and stern thruster, which allows her pilot to maneuver in stronger currents or tight docking situations. This propulsion, coupled with her fairly flat bottom aft of the keel and a fine entry, give confidence to even new yacht owners. The details of the Hylas 63 design make Bene Vivere perfect for the cruising couple that wants the additional space, or a live aboard family exploring the oceans.

INTERIOR SPACES

When stepping below on this remarkable Hylas 63, one immediately has the sense of a clean tastefully designed space. The subtle tones of the fabrics and the clean lines of the cabinets are reminiscent of the finest modern homes. Bene Vivere could easily be enjoyed for months on the hook or in a tranquil marina. Long passages are also comfortable and can be appreciated by those who enjoy amenities that are generally found only on land. Bene Vivere has four cabins, a large passageway galley, a well-appointed salon and two heads. This arrangement is ideal for those hoping to spend seasons on board with the ability to have guests for extended periods. This Hylas 63 will impress even the most fastidious yacht owners.

Bene Vivere set the tone for the Hylas 63’s that followed. Her owners decided on a look and feel that created a welcoming and uncluttered interior. Subsequent Hylas 63 owners have been afforded the opportunity to create unique vessels that suit their needs. Customizations can be rewarding but they can also lead to changes that future buyers will not appreciate. Bene Vivere was carefully planned, executed and has set the bar for all of her sailing sisters. She has the perfect blend of character and personality for serious sailing with creature comforts.  She is luxurious but a seasoned sailor will also notice that she is ruggedly constructed and built to withstand the rigorous test of offshore sailing.

HYLAS 63 – SAILING IN STYLE

Bene Vivere will be admired in Saint Tropez, she will be admired in San Diego and she will be admired in any port she puts into. Her handsome Frers lines and clean decks place Bene Vivere among the best sail yachts of her generation.  Bottom line, the Hylas 63 is visually beautiful, elegant and impressive at dock or on the hook, at sail, she becomes even more impressive and a greater pleasure. She is powerful upwind and easily slides down waves when the wind is aft of the beam. Bene Vivere exemplifies the feel and look of a modern sailing yacht at rest or under sail.

TWIN HELMS

Bene Vivere is a twin helm center cockpit boat. Her helm placement provides sailors with an excellent view of sail trim and makes passing through the cockpit to the aft deck as easy as walking through a hallway on land. Winches and lines are more readily available and due to the helms’ placement, aft of the main cockpit, guests have plenty of room to relax while under sail. Bene Vivere is not only equipped and designed to modern day standards but she set the tone for today’s cruising yachts.

CONSTRUCTION

The Hylas 63 is as sturdy as her predecessors but is built using some of the most modern techniques available. Bene Vivere was crafted to be one of the strongest vessels in her class. Her hull is a vacuum bagged hull ensuring equal and proper distribution of resin throughout. Layers of Twaron help make Bene Vivere light, strong and stiff. Her hull is solid below the waterline with coring which provides insulation above. These modern building systems allow owners to rely on their boat no matter the season or conditions.

SCOOP TRANSOM

Hylas owners have enjoyed the scoop transom for many years. The ability to easily board the dinghy, unload supplies or simply go for a quick swim are all benefits to having this style transom. Bene Vivere, like her sisters, has opening transom steps that reveal additional storage. Sailors who have lived aboard, or sailed a boat with a scoop transom extensively, appreciate the value added by this simple and functional design.
